A vegetarian eatery Green Room is located in the current hot spot of the contemporary cultural life of the city - the former Smolninsky bakery factory, housing the cultural centre Loft Project Etagi since 2007. It joins under the same roof three art galleries, an architectural office, a shop of designer books Library Projector, a wine bar LoftWineBar, a boutique Backstage, presenting creative efforts of young fashion designers of St. Petersburg and the Batics and a hostel Ligovsky 74. In the Green Room, as elsewhere in the building, a historic touch of its interior is carefully safeguarded and even emphasized. It finds its reflection in uncovered ventilation pipes, repainted mixers and kitchen appliances from the factory times and bright green headlights. Plants in wooden boxes, massive wooden tables and an open style kitchen - everything seemingly roughish, simple and robust. You can find a cozy spot, sit down with your laptop or a book and spend an undisturbed hour or two there. Large windows allow lots of daylight, and the café has an open air terrace with its centerpiece - a black rubber installation called "A Rubber Rock-Garden". It menu offers a vegetarian cuisine from around the globe for amazingly friendly prices in comparison with general St. Petersburg's costliness.
