Russian Vodkaroom № 1 (Русская Рюмочная №1) is a fascinating restaurant just a short way from the Winter Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral and Mariinsky Theater. Moreover, the Russian Vodka Museum, which gives an insight into vodka drinking traditions, is just next door to it.
It features heavy vaulted ceiling, a typical for the end of the 19th century décor, matching musical background and waiters' uniforms, while its large arched windows and prevailing white color fills the room with light.
Russian Vodkaroom № 1 menu offers typical fare of various periods in Russian history. Food is very good there, although it somewhat lacks originality.
