The place worth paying a visit, albeit normally not included in tourist routes, is the Museum of Ethnography, home not only to an incredible collection of historic costumes but also to one of the best bookstalls in St Petersburg. It is a sort of connoisseur second hand/antique book store, a place where many St Petersburg intellectuals of the old stock bring the gems of their book-shelves, only to replace with something new they have found here. You might find some rarities - books dedicated to theatre costumes or the history of St Petersburg as well as publications on fashion and architecture. Abundance of great bookstalls is unique to this city: you will also find some at a number of theatres (the Bolshoi Drama Theatre and the Lensovet Theatre) and the Academy of Art.
