It is a small family-owned restaurant or rather a tavern. People learn about it by word of mouth. It's a favored spot among locals and a casual tourist would hardly drop in there. It takes a bit of effort to find it, as can be expected, and all your scraps of Spanish language as well, as no one speaks English there. Almocabar is located beyond the old town on the very outskirts of Ronda, next to an overgrown with orange trees park. It is absolutely plain-looking on outside - nothing noteworthy at all. Yet that's the trick! Inside it features a small dining room on one side and a bar - on the other. It's always full and my strong advice is to book ahead. And what a fantastic colorful crowd gathers here! Laud and authentic, with an extremely delicious ambience! Never leave this place without tasting mango ice cream - it's homemade and served in a crispy waffle...yummy!
