A restaurant Tragabuches is a genuine surprise not only for its Michelin star status. It's just amazing that such a restaurant actually exists in a small town like Ronda, although one of the most charming spots of Andalusia. It features a modern, minimalistic interior, with roses being in spotlight - hanged at the walls like artworks, one at a time, with lights and shades creating a peculiar pattern around them. A décor - stripped brick walls, wooden ceiling, snaked by silvery ventilation tubes, matches well with its menu - a creative interpretation of classic Andalusia cuisine with a dash of daring. An innovative play of tastes and textures and a designer presentation of food, preformed by the local star-chef. Tragabuches, like Echaurren restaurant in La Rioja, is among the gastronomic destinations of Spain. Never miss a dessert - a piece of modern art on a plate, surprising taste buds with contrasts of sweet and salty. An excellent wine list.
An old saying "God is in details" proves to be right again. If you have come with your little one, a waiter, out of the blue, conjures up a coloring book. A special surprise waits at the restroom where aside from traditional amenities kit you will find disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste. Moreover, not in difficult-to-open tubes (as on board aircrafts sometimes), but in small packets (like dressings at fast-food eateries). By the way, Tragabuches is named after a local bandito. The restaurant has two dining rooms, yet, it's a good idea to order a table in the first one - as the second seems somewhat squeezed in the corner.
Closed on Sunday nights and Mondays.
