Photo Espana, June 9 – July 25, 2010
The 13th photography and visual arts festival PHotoEspaña will feature a total of 69 exhibitions, with the works of approximately 370 artists from all over the world. This year, the festival's main curator, Sérgio Mah, has brought together photographs that highlight the experience and perception of time, and its direct relationship with photography.
The emphasis is on the seemingly simple fact that every photo frame is directly connected with time and with the moment when it was taken.
Along with photo exhibitions, PHotoEspaña will feature environmental arts projects throughout the city, as well as portfolio presentations, educational programmes, lectures, master classes, conferences and other events.
