Out to Sea. The Plastic Garbage Project, The Maritime Museum and Aquarium, through May 18, 2014

The statistics are scary - every year, more than six million tons of trash are dumped into the world's seas and oceans. That's one cubic metre of trash per hour, non-stop. The gulfs and coastal areas surrounding the world's metropolises look like garbage dumps. This exhibition is a sobering and educational look at the destructive nature of 21st-century civilization.
