Open since 1958, the Stockholm Museum of Modern Art is located in the Island of Skeppsholmen. The museum's collection comprises excellent examples of modern and contemporary art by Swedish and international artists, dating from the early 1900s to the present day. The greatest gems of the collection are works by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Georges Braque, Salvador Dalí, Oskar Kokoschka and Robert Rauschenberg, as well as a model of Tatlin's Tower and a vast collection of photographs. The holdings boast a wealth of contemporary art; the permanent exhibition is often changed. Contemporary video art and films are demonstrated in the museum's Video Corridor.
