The unique Ariana Museum (or Swiss Museum of Ceramics and Glass) is housed in a neo-baroque/neo-classicist building a stone's throw from the United Nations Headquarters. The museum is home to an extensive and excellent collection of ceramics, porcelain and glass artefacts from Europe, Middle East and Asia, spanning seven centuries of history. It is the only Swiss museum - and one of the very few in the whole of Europe - dedicated exclusively to kiln techniques. The museum also features a collection of modern ceramics and glass.
