Winterthur Art Museum, found in the city of Winterthur, just 25 km from Zurich, is famous for its superb collection of modern art - one of the best in Switzerland. The museum is located in a building built in 1915, to which the architect firm, Gigogon & Guyer, attached a modern addition in 1995. The main focus of the collection is French Impressionism, Post-impressionism and art from the Les Nabis group. Masterpieces of the collection include Claude Monet's „Low Tide", Alfred Sisley's „Under the Bridge at Hampton Court", Paul Cézanne's „Chestnut Trees at Jas de Bouffan" and Vincent van Gogh's „The Dandelions".
