Hotel Oreanda, Yalta

Author: Anothertravelguide.com

The way it often is with places surrounded by legends and rich in history, many still claim it is the best hotel in the city. The 1907 founded Oreanda used to be one of the oldest hotels in the tsarist Russia and boasted a long list of high profile guests, including prominent politicians, entrepreneurs and famous actors. The hotel is located at the very end of the Yalta Promenade and offers the usual set of trappings: a private beach, bowling centre and casino. There are 114 rooms available at the Oreanda and in 2001 the hotel underwent a large scale renovation. It has to thank its fame for the fact of always being full; it is also reflected by the rates, from EUR 135 ( a standard double room in low season) to EUR 265 during high season. A luxury suite will set you back EUR 1210 in high season.
