One of the best restaurants in Yalta, belonging to the Ukrainian restaurant chain Kozyrnaja karta (trump card), is situated in the Massandra Beach area. The beach, covered in stones, however, does not look very welcoming for sun-seekers. Hutorok spreads over several levels and features matching to its surroundings décor. In the evening hours, jazz is being played on the second floor terrace. Just chose a table close to the water and enjoy a superb Black Sea panorama, and a cozy, checked plaid will protect you from a bit chilly breeze. Menu, coming in a shape of a newspaper, offers a combination of European and Ukrainian cuisine. Among other things you can order Crimean vegetable and greenery salad or green borsch (which is sorrel soup, in fact). A very good selection of local wines, while European ones are enormously overpriced.
