A beautiful golf course located on the Pacific shore, hosting the PGA TOUR's season's opening Mercedes-Benz Championship every year in January. Hawaii's volcanic origin reveals in its outlines, unfurling across hills and valleys. Its architects have marvelously embraced natural geographic formations and pineapple plantations that literally take your breath away. Perfectly groomed it is one of the most delightful courses I ever have played at. It is quite complicated, too, for an amateur like me, therefore even more challenging.
The nearby Plantation House restaurant offers a sumptuous meal with a lovely view of the ocean.
