However that may be, Alexander McQueen knows how to attract attention. He is one of the most eccentric designers of today, the hooligan of the British fashion. His catwalk shows are shocking and scandalous. His designs, as for their lines and choice of materials, are provocative and androgynous. Oozing sexuality but at the same time technologically perfect. Exact embodiment of his style is also his newly opened flagship in Los Angeles. A focal point of the store is "Angel of the Americas," an anatomically correct stainless steel sculpture of a naked man by artist Robert Bryce Muir, which seems coming down from the sky. McQueen tells that he was inspired by the Jesus Christ statue in Rio de Janeiro. Futuristic interior of the store is entirely designed by architect William Russell. It features huge curved glass doors and curved windows and cathedral-like vaulted ceilings with suspended from there showcases. The store features men's and women's wear collections as well as accessories. It is planned that the store will also become a venue of contemporary art on regular basis.
