The Mall, Tuscany

Author: Anothertravelguide.com

The Mall is located about 20 minutes by car from the famous Prada Space Outlet - the indicator signs start miles away - and 35-kilometre or half an hour's ride from Florence. The assortment of brands is quite extensive - from Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Armani, Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Gucci and Hogan to Yves Saint Laurent and Yohji Yamamoto. There is a total of 23 names represented at the Mall outlet, which is a set of red brick buildings resembling a little village of brands. No wonder some call it La Dolce Vita of style of the 21st century. Travelling from Milan (or Rome), take the A1 autostrada toward Florence, then take the exit marked Incisa. From there, go toward Pontassieve until you reach Leccio. Continue straight through, and The Mall will be on your left. As The Mall is one of the main Tuscan shopping destinations, the outlet's website also contains a map and detailed instructions on how to reach it. The "brand village" offers discounts of up to 70 %, and, as with all outlets, the stock and its availability is a matter of luck. There is also a café/restaurant, Dot.com; a word to the wise, though: be careful with the wine on your shopping spree breaks - to avoid regretting the purchase of a heap of things you didn't really need, all bought in a spell of intoxicating euphoria.
