A small and cozy boutique style hotel, excellently located in the very centre of Phnom Penh. Built in the 1950's, it features just 8 rooms with large windows, light palette of colors and white mosquito nets. Being modern, the interior possesses traits of typical Cambodian style, too. Situated on a quite side street, it oozes peace and tranquility, at the same time it is just a short walking distance from popular tourist destinations - the National Museum and the Royal palace. Its restaurant serves delicious breakfast on a terrace, and food is just fabulous! Menu features equally good Asian and continental cuisine, including omelets, fresh juices, smoothies and fruit. For guests of the hotel a first meal of the day is included - chose whatever you like, while the restaurant is open for general public as well. Moreover, it offers not only meals but friendly service and personalized attitude, too. Boddhi Tree Aram's staff speaks fluent English and can suggest places to see in Phnom Penh as well.
Yet it takes time before you can enjoy its hospitability. Finding Boddhi Tree Aram is not an easy task at all - for unobservant eyes a third floor balcony may easily slip by unnoticed. Efforts pay back, however, when you finally settle back on the soft cushions, sip a drink and savor its relaxing atmosphere.
There are two more Boddhi Tree hotels in Phnom Penh - Boddhi Tree Del Gusto and Boddhi Tree Umma. Slightly lower in price and a bit outside the centre, they are still favorably located - just a short way from the Genocide Museum. Excellent value for money, indeed!
