Flower, Bird and Insect Market

Author: Baiba Ladiga0 COMMENTS

Being for the first time in Shanghai, you may find it interesting to visit flower, bird and insect market. Insects, kept in tiny cages are meant both for daily meals of birds and humans as well. Among the most fantastic flowers and plants, you will spot also reptiles for sale. Speaking of birds - they are trained to talk there! One of such birds landed on my balcony one day, screaming: "Bai Tu! Bai Tu!. Bai Tu", which in translation means "white rabbit". So, my given name being Baiba, I have acquired my Chinese nickname now - Bai Tu.
