Windermere Estate, Munnar

Author: Anothertravelguide.com0 COMMENTS

While driving a mountain road is, admittedly, no walk in the park, Munnar is worth paying a visit, if only for its tea plantations. The Windermere Estate, enveloped by cardamom fields, is located on top of the Observation Hill, a fabulous spot with a 360º view of the surrounding mountains. You will either find them in all their alpine splendour or hidden in the clouds - depending on the season.
The owners live a stone's throw from the place, in a former planters' house; you won't feel you are actually staying at a hotel for a single minute, that's a promise.
