Art&Design Book Store

Mumbai Art & Design Book Store is not merely a book-store, but a materialization of one's passion. Its creator and owner, Mumbai-based architect Pranav Upasani, is also a founder of a not-for-profit organization "Foundation For Architecture" that deals with exhibitions, conferences and publications on architecture. The tiny shop is situated on a little side-street of Mumbai Colaba area, packed with beautiful colonial era architecture, right opposite the legendary, 103-year-old Taj Mahal hotel and a short distance from Kala Ghoda - the Mumbai's art district. Its shelves are loaded with the very best books in art, architecture and design, all selected with great care and competence. You will find books from the major European publishing houses (e.g., Gestalten, Phaidon, etc.), niche publications, as well as books issued in India. It offers also films on architecture, interviews with famous architects and much more. And no surprise that majority of Art & Design Book Store customers are foreigners - such a perfect selection of niche editions, all in one place, is quite a rare find!
