Excellent accommodation for the budget traveller - a great value-for-money hotel located in the so-called Ville Blanche or the French Quarter of Pondicherry, quite close to the sophisticated Le Dupleix. The tiny boutique hotel boasts a very intimate atmosphere, offering only ten rooms - very simple, yet decorated with a distinct Indian flavour. Each of the rooms is named after a flower: Tulip, Lily, Daisy... All rooms are equipped with air conditioners; to use one, however, you have to pay INR 1500 instead of 1100 for your room. A visit to the bathroom may prove slightly awkward: the shower cubicle is not separated from the rest of the space with a shower curtain, which means that the floor is constantly wet. There is also a small café on the premises of The French Villa.
