You will have to leave your shoes at the entrance and go on barefooted. Choose a design and a shop assistant will ask for a right size pair at a small window. You will notice an Indian lady on the other side, explaining that they seem to have run out of the size in this particular colour... This small shop owned by the Auroville New Age community of experimental lifestyle is the place to go for high quality natural leather footwear and bags. The workshop is located right there, behind said little window. A very pleasant and flavoursome atmosphere - no taking pictures inside the shop, however.
