La Plage

If, on a warm and sunny summer day, you wish to savour tasty seafood with a brilliant, panoramic view of the Mediterranean, then La Plage is the right place to go. The restaurant is located right at the edge of the sea and its outside terrace has no equal in Beirut - you can have lunch there with your feet practically touching the water's edge.
While the cuisine is simple, everything that reaches your plate is fresh and lovingly prepared. The mezze (starter) here is divine, but make sure to remember that it is meant as an appetizer, and to leave room for the main course of seafood that is still to follow!
Right next to the restaurant lies L'Artisan du Liban, a small shop that is a great place to purchase authentic, Lebanese souvenirs crafted by local artists, including textile, glass and wood items, as well as water pipes.
Cafe d'Orient, Ain el Mreisseh
