If you wish to enjoy authentic, Lebanese cuisine in a lively and carefree atmosphere, then Al Falamanki is the right place to go. The restaurant is located in the charming Achrafieh quarter, not far from the Hotel Albergo and various small, stylish boutiques and shops. Al Falamanki has several rooms to choose from and a huge, outer courtyard. Its interior is a cosy kitsch of Lebanese objects - old saucepans, national hats, antique rifles and various other curios hang on the walls.
In the words of the locals, - this is where one can get the best fattouches in the city, and of course, a fantastic mezze. All of the ingredients used in the preparation of Al Falamanki's dishes are fresh, seasonal and local, having been brought to the restaurant from various Lebanese farms and villages.
However, the great cuisine is not the only reason to come here. The prices are also quite reasonable. For example, a mini mezze for two costs LL 14 000. In addition, Al Falamanki is a sociable meeting place, where one can chat, smoke a water pipe, play chess and other board and card games. One can even purchase a deck of playing cards (LL 6000), complete with the witty text: "I like to play poker. I'm not addicted to gambling, I'm addicted to sitting in a circle."
