Sarah’s Bag

Sarah's Bag is located in the delightful Achrafieh quarter, on the second floor of an old, historic building. The store is the result of an extremely successful social project, offering colourful, designer handbags made by incarcerated and rural, Lebanese women, who otherwise would have no steady source of income.
Handbags are owner Sarah Beydoun's love and passion. She personally takes part in the design of each store item, which is hand-made with great detail and care. That is one reason why this boutique has been an immense hit with fashion-conscious, Lebanese women. Currently, handbags embossed with the portraits of local, show business stars seem to be all the rage in Beirut.
Beydoun's tastefully-made handbags are fashioned using a number of intricate, time-consuming techniques, including hand stitching, embroidery crocheting and other applications.
Sarah's Bag has also gained wide, international acclaim. French movie diva Catherine Deneuve and Rania, the Queen of Jordan, are just two of the long list of prominent celebrities who have shopped here.
