The Gallery Hotel

In 2000 the Gallery Hotel won the award of the Singapore Institute of Architects and was called "a hotel the whole of Singapore is talking about". The hotel is located in the Robertson Quay entertainment district, on the banks of the Singapore River. The modernist architecture of the building is a tribute to the historical warehouse district and, at the same time, does justice to the name - the Gallery Hotel. In a way it can be considered a hotel/art centre which, by the way, has retained the popularity it enjoyed at the time of the opening. In alliance with a local art college a new exhibition is opened every three months; the range of the subject matters include everything from art installations to theatre.
