A concept hotel Rathaus Wine&Design definitely has its own and singular philosophy - it's devotion to wine. It finds its expression on every step - the wine cheese on a breakfast buffet and the so called wine guglhupf with a cup of coffee, for instance. Yet the most charming are its 39 hotel rooms, each one dedicated to a prominent Austrian winemaker. Two bottles (big ones) of the respective wine awaits you in a mini-bar, too - for a friendly price of average 14 euro!
Located in an historic town house in Josefstadt in the very heart of Vienna, the hotel Rathaus Wine&Design is just a short walking distance form Museum Quarter and Vienna municipality building. Every corner of Fleischhaker family Vienna property embodies a unique style and personality. Each room features individual décor, ranging from plain and modest rooms to stylish and exquisite boudoirs. The wine lounge, sited in a cute inner yard, tempts with excellent red wines and offers pleasant moments, sitting cozily in the sunshine, savoring delicious cheese along with wine, and browsing a newspaper. And finally, its breakfast! Perhaps it is the best one you can ever taste in a five-star hotel. Organic, homemade jams, some 10 sorts of honey and numerous typically Austrian delicacies - cottage cheese, pates, pies, freshly baked bread and fresh juices. It feels like savoring a plentiful meal surrounded by friendly, homelike atmosphere. Appetizing aromas tingle your senses and lure to taste...Yet the greatest value of Hotel Rathaus Wine&Design is its wines - the truly impressive collection contains outstanding Austrian as well as world wine vintages.
And among other things, you can order a bicycle at the hotel, too. Instead of searching for a rental in the city, a bike, upon your request, is delivered to the hotel's threshold. No formalities or ID required - a rental charge is just added to your hotel bill.
