Three Sisters Hotel

Author: Anothertravelguide.com0 COMMENTS

An intriguing piece of trivia apropos of this small and charming exclusive hotel: during the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Tallinn it was chosen as the place of accommodation for her Majesty; the name of Lou Reed was also recently added to the list of prominent guests (he stayed at the Piano Suite). The Three Sisters Hotel is located in a quiet part of the Old Town, undisturbed by tourist throngs, and its atmosphere is likewise quietly relaxing rather than lively. The rooms and suites are housed in three interconnected conversions of 1362 merchant's houses. The decor of each of the buildings is slightly different, depending on which of the "three sisters" (the "youngest", the "middle" or the "eldest" one) you are staying at. The rooms and suites of the "youngest sister" are equipped with a bathtub (hidden behind a screen) and a "secret door" leading to the ancient medieval staircase that used to connect all three of the buildings. Each room has a terrace with a view of the reception hall (you can have your breakfast there). The "middle" and the "eldest" sisters offer two-storey suites with an upstairs bedroom and a view of the Tallinn rooftops. The decor is an organic blend of past and present. The downstairs library adds a special something to the Three Sisters Hotel.
