Must Puudel

The recently opened Must Puudel (Black Poodle) has quickly become a popular hangout for Tallinn's artists, writers and musicians. No matter when you choose to drop in, you are bound to bump into either an actor or a theatre director, a painter or a fashion designer. One of Must Puudel's owners is the female companion of alternative music trendsetter Vaiko Eplik. Eplik is also a talented performer who has taken it upon himself to plan out the musical evenings at Must Puudel, while his sister Eike Eplik has made a decorating debut in the café's interior with her sculptures. The colour scheme in the restaurant was devised by the young colour crazy artist Kristi Kongi, who contributed with large-format figural compositions.

Although retro-style elements can be found in many a small, Tallinn café, they never fail to intrigue in one way or another and never leave the visitor completely indifferent. At Must Puudel you will find all sorts of 1970s living room interior details, including furniture, round-shaped cosmic lamps, vintage Samsung television sets, and Baccara LPs with such famous singles as Yes Sir, I Can Boogie and Sorry, I'm A Lady.

The furniture in the café has been appropriately chosen for the enjoyment of particularly carefree and comfortable coffee breaks. Sink into a plush, 1970s sofa or armchair, marvel at the incredibly high WiFi internet speed, and treat yourself to a fine cup of tea or coffee, along with a tempting mango cheesecake, or perhaps an Arequipa cheesecake, carrot-ginger cake, chocolate cake or (and) banana cake.
