Opened in 1956, the institution is the world's second oldest museum dedicated to architecture. At the time, it was based on the collection of photographs owned by the Finnish Association of Architects. Today the museum presents a large permanent exhibition featuring drawings, photographs and models. The Museum of Finnish Architecture also regularly holds various temporary exhibitions dedicated to both Finnish and international architecture.
