Jaskan Grill

A typical trait of Helsinki is grill kiosks, set in small aluminum booths the size of a newsstand. There are several of them in the city (and were even more before McDonalds arrived), yet the most popular is Jaskan Grill, sited in a small square near the Parliament building. Opened from 7.30pm to 4.30 am, it gathers an almost constant queue of hungry ones, both local celebrities and simple mortals. The assortment varies from usual hot dogs to beefsteak, meat sandwiches and sausages, while the prices ranges from 5 to 8 Euros. The kiosk has been around there for about 25 years and has witnessed all the possible nightlife passions bursting out in its neighborhood, and who would be surprised - it's one of the rare open eateries, while any other long since closed.
