Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin
Author: Anothertravelguide.com0 COMMENTS
Currently one of the most influential and elitist art galleries in Paris. It is located in the Marais district, in a privately owned building, somewhat off the beaten path in this part of Paris. Emmanuel Perrotin, the owner of the gallery, reserves special affection for Asian and specifically Japanese avant-garde art. The permanent exhibition of gallery includes works by Takashi Murakami (by the way, his collaboration with Louis Vuitton as a handbag designer started soon after being first featured at Perrotin's gallery) and photographer Mariko Mori, as well as a string of stars of contemporary art, from Maurizio Cattelan to Terry Richardson. A visit to Galerie Emanuel Perrotin is practically compulsory.
