Unico

Forget about foie gras and salade niçoise for the time being, as currently one of the most talked about restaurants in Paris is Unico. 100% Argentinean cuisine, and once again it has been proved that a concept makes the difference. The owners of the restaurant are two Parisians born in Argentina - architect and photographer - Marcelo Joulia and Enrique Zanono. In Unico, located not far from Bastilia in a former butcher's shop, alongside with authentic butcher's utensils and psychedelics wallpaper of the 70ies and brown and orange ceramic tiles, one can find also Charles Eames chairs and a massive Norman Foster table. Steaks are being grilled on coal (a grill, as well as the cook himself are imported from Buenos Aires), Argentinean recipes and excellent selection of Argentinean wines. A table has to be booked in advance.
