A la Petite Chaise

A la Petite Chaise

A la Petite Chaise is a truly historic place in Paris, dating back to 1680 when it was first open as a wine shop serving also some food. Throughout the times, it has enjoyed a great popularity among prominent artists, writers and politicians, and even today it still oozes some old world charm. Tables in the small restaurant room are standing very close to each other and are adorned with carefully preserved old-fashioned cloth napkins. Aside from classics of French cuisine - foie gras, French onion soup and black pudding, one can taste also quenelle - a traditional Lyonnais specialty and quite a rarity in Paris. These oval-shaped dumplings are made of fish or meat and if served with lobster sauce are delicious beyond description! Equally good are young lamb ribs for the main course. And besides that, a full meal, from starters to a dessert, costs an agreeable amount of just 35 Euros. In addition to great food guests can enjoy a good dose of warms and sincerity from attentive waiting staff.
