La Société

Paris has recently acquired yet another hip spot. La Société restaurant, without any doubt, is one of the most sophisticated and stylish representatives of the famous Costes Brothers restaurant empire. Although housed in a historic building of 1851 in the very heart of chic and lively Saint Germain de Pres, it may take some moments to be noticed. No dashing signboard, just a massive 19th century oak-wood door invites into its minimalistic lobby. The restaurant's décor is designed by well-known French interior designer Christian Liaigre, who has split its slender space into three areas, separated by few steps. A contemporary yet warm interior features calm palette of gray, beige and chocolate, while its rough flooring brings out antique patina of the building. It boasts massive white columns, 5.6 m high ceiling of the central area and custom-made leather and mahogany furniture. Special trait of the place is sculptural works of 8 artists, adding much of its uniqueness and personality. Typically to Costes, La Société features good fusion style cuisine, just perfect for 130-seat eatery, and draws creative crowd of the city - artists, fashion designers and many more. Aesthetic enjoyment is guaranteed.
