7L Bookshop

This used to be Lagerfeld's photo studio before he set up a bookshop in this place. 7L is a very special and very private book shop, an incarnation of the fashion designer's eclectic taste as well as his immeasurable curiosity and thirst for everything that is new. Lagerfeld's venerable age (sic!) notwithstanding, he hasn't stopped greedily keeping his hand on the pulse of the times; his daily routine revolves around stacks of magazines, exhibition catalogues and countless iPods. He is always well informed of the latest trends in cinema and manages to go to see as much as five films on a single night - admittedly, spending the average of twenty minutes on each of them...
7L embodies the essence of Lagerfeld's interests and tastes in art, architecture, design, photography and fashion. Amidst the rest of articles on offer he throws in some bits and pieces from his private collection - rare editions of magazines and books which can't be found anywhere else. At the same time 7L represents the branch of Lagerfeld's publishing house co-founded by the designer and the Steidl German publisher of art books.
