Colette

Colette is the pioneer of the concept shop. In a way it could be called an incarnation of the gastronomic fusion style in design. Literally all the best (or at least the very, very latest) in each area is available here: clothes, design, films, music, gadgets, everything. Fashion is always short-lived, and Colette's display windows and current collection is changing with it. The manner in which clothes and accessories are displayed on the second floor of the shop is slightly reminiscent of an art exhibition.
The shop doesn't burden you with in-your-face signs of brand names. You decide - should you find out or perhaps it's not that important after all. A flight of stairs leads you down to a small gallery where photo exhibitions take place now and then and you can find a collection of not-quite-so-ordinary fashion magazines and publications.
In the basement there is a mineral water bar with a list of more than 40 different waters from all over the world. The menu is changed once a week. Colette is an experience worth revisiting whenever you find yourself in Paris. It's a place with a feel for pulse of the times. Minimalism in interior design and maximalism in concentration of cool people.
