An apartment-style hotel, one of the gems of the Berlin accommodation scene, ideally suited for connoisseurs who are looking for a bit more privacy than the average hotel can offer. It is located in Prenzlauer Berg, a neighbourhood that has been recently becoming more and more fashionable (as witnessed by the steadily growing property prices). The hotel is within a ten-minute cycling distance from Mitte and a stone's throw from Kollwitzlatz, in a beautiful street with 19th century buildings and an ambience of old-time prosperity. The interior is slightly decadent and somewhat eclectic but designed with great taste: teak furniture from Bali, old woodboard floor, chandeliers and interesting lighting fixtures. Each of the apartments is slightly different, for instance, there is a large classically decorated room, and suddenly - a glass wall cuts off a corner to accommodate a see-through shower room.
To make the apartment feel even more private and homey, the hotel reception is located in a separate next door building; the apartment building can be entered with a door code. It also houses Café Club del Mer, a very pleasant restaurant where they serve excellent breakfast and seafood cuisine at night.
