Gestalten Space

Founded in 1995 in Berlin, Gestalten is one of Europe's most influential publishing houses focusing on books dealing with design and visual culture. In a way, it is a mirror of our age that has recorded the movements and development trends in today's design, book art, graphic art, architecture, urban and contemporary art. Alongside analysing and reflecting the current trends, Gestalten has also been serving as a source of new inspiration. Aside from its Berlin headquarters, the publishing house has opened subsidiary offices in London, New York and Tokyo, working with artists worldwide. Since 2007, Gestalten also owns a television production company producing films dedicated to some of the most powerful visual innovators and leaders of today. The publishers recently also opened a bookstore of its own, the Gestalten Space gallery. The impressively-sized 350 square metre space is perpetually transforming, serving as a source of inspiration and a platform for new ideas at the same time. Visit Gestalten Space to look for the latest publications or rarities, or to check out the impromptu concept store with its display of selected design objects previously featured in some of the Gestalten books. A separate area is dedicated to a small exhibition hall that hosts a rapidly changing sequence of art shows, as well as events and talks.
