Located in the Monastero Maggiore monastery building, this museum houses a large collection of Ancient Greek, Roman, Barbarian and Etruscan bronze and ceramic objects. One section is devoted to Milan during the Roman period, while another features artefacts from a recent excavation in Palestine. One of the highlights is the world's oldest surviving wooden plough, estimated to be about 4000 years old.
