Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology (Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci)

Named in honour of the Italian Renaissance inventor and artist, this museum houses one of the world's leading collections devoted to science and technology. The museum is located in four 16th-century buildings that once made up a monastery. Its wide range of interactive exhibits features various weights and measures, the first mechanical adding machine (invented in 1642), as well as modern computers and expositions devoted to astronomy, acoustics, trains, air and sea travel, cinematography, clock-making, etc. The Leonardo da Vinci gallery also hosts a variety of drawings, sketches and models of some of his inventions.
