Cesare Crespi

In the Brera neighbourhood, near the famous Academy of Fine Arts of Brera (Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera), Lucio Fontana's alma mater, one will find a legendary Cesare Crespi, the shop adored by generations of artists. It's filled to the gills with paints, papers, pencils, canvases and other art supplies. The store opened in 1880 and has been in the same family for already four generations. Some of the best artists have bought supplies here, and Cesare Crespi stocks only the best...and the owner often has a story to tell about each item, from the paints to the pencils.
