Girarrosto Fiorentino

A classic Italian restaurant that serves Tuscan cuisine; it is often called the best meat restaurant in Rome in spite of offering a fine choice of fish and - always - fresh wild strawberries for dessert. It is a very classy place and well-favoured by the locals; although waiters do speak English, you won't quite get over the feeling of having gate-crashed a members-only club. During the afternoon hours prosperous and discreet people meet there for business lunches. At night the restaurant attracts the best circles of Rome: wealthy families - leaving children at home - come for a quiet and peaceful evening. There is no music; everything is very quiet and traditional. The waiters are older gentlemen in dark red blazers with bow-ties. The good old authentic Rome. You won't see any tourists there. Dinner for two (wine excluded) will cost you approximately EUR 50-60 per person. $$$
