Trattoria

It is a stone's throw from the Pantheon, located in a 17th century Baroque palace - but you are not likely to feel it due to the contemporary minimalist interior, designed by local young architects. The restaurant has several dining halls; one of them is separated from the adjoining kitchen by a glass wall. The idea of the kitchen as a stage is by no means a novelty in the restaurant world, but in this case the stage is particularly large. Presentation is creative, borderline extravagant. The food is sophisticated fusion style cuisine rooted in the Italian traditions; the head chef La Mantia is a local culinary star of the moment. True, if you are quite hungry and dream of a hearty meal, this definitely is not the place to go. Helpings are very small and dinner is more of a sophisticated trifling than a proper meal. $$
