Venice delights with its quietness and lack of hurry. The nightlife here is serene – discotheques are few and far between. However, sometimes you just want to go a little wild… If that's the case, one locale you can hit up is the legendary Piccolo Mondo, which first opened way back in 1963 under the name of El Souk. In its first few decades it was heavily favoured by famous artists and their patroness – Peggy Guggenheim. Nowadays parties go on until 4:00 am within the walls of the bright red-furnished Piccolo Mondo. Take note, ladies: the revelers here skew to a male majority, so perhaps think twice about coming here alone; unless, of course, that's just what you're looking for…
