Due Torri Hotel
Author: Anothertravelguide.com0 COMMENTS

A legendary Veronese hotel that has been offering lodgings since 1674 (under many different owners, of course). The building itself is even older, and dates back to the 14th century when it was the Dell Aquila Palace (Palace of the Eagle), guest house to the Scaligeri family, Lords of Verona. Mozart and Goethe slept here, and King Louis XVII of France was crowned here while in exile. More recent guests include Placido Domingo, Vittorio de Sica, Anna Magnani, and Margaret Thatcher, among others. The authentic Biedermeier- and Empire-style furniture, Murano glass chandeliers, and hand-polished parquet flooring ensure you'll experience a journey back into time!
