Roma Cafe

Roma Cafe is one of the newest additions to Liepāja's café scene. Look for it in the Rome Garden just a few dozen steps from the heart of the city, Rose Square, where the first roses were planted in 1910. Liepāja's most famous architect, Paul Max Bertschy (1840–1911), participated in the creation of the Rome Garden, which is hidden in a quiet courtyard and was recently reconstructed along with its historical fountain. Enjoy the fountain from Roma Cafe's terrace, which is set up right across from it and is one of the favourite spots for residents of Liepāja to have a lazy cup of coffee or glass of wine on a sunny day. The courtyard also provides a pleasant respite from Liepāja's ever-present wind. Roma Cafe's menu has a definite Italian feel, and its wine list is also quite extensive for a café-type establishment.
