NABAKLAB Club

NABAKLAB is the right place for those who in their nightlife are looking for otherness uncontaminated by mass culture and count themselves among the fans of different kind of music, namely, underground and all sorts of musical minorities - for people who don't give a monkey's about glamour and are satisfied with quite a modest beverage list. The club is the brainchild of people from the NABA University radio station and Gauja eatery/alternative music recording studio.
Actually, an insight into what the basements of posh Riga boulevard buildings are hiding is alone a good enough reason to stop by. The interior has preserved some significant architectural elements of the building, exposing some brickwork and fragments of wood beams and showcasing the machinery of the Flohr lift, one of the oldest elevators in Riga. The NABAKLAB premises also house a replica of the Blue Room of the Gauja buffet, a Soviet-era watering hole immensely popular among the locals, as well as the Retro Spectro shop of vintage clothing and accessories. This is also the place to come to barter music records and vinyl LPs. The open-air courtyard is known here as the ventilation place for smoke and thoughts.
