Robert's Books is a second-hand English language bookshop located in the so-called Quite Centre across from Albert Hotel. Almost all of the shop's books sell for between one and five lats (1,45 - 7,15, euro). Music CDs and movie DVDs are just as reasonably priced and Wi-Fi wireless internet connection is available for 1 lat (1,45 euro) per user per day.
The establishment' s founder is expat Robert Cottrell - an expat bibliophile, former head of the Moscow bureaux of The Economist and Financial Times, and author of many articles for The New York Review of Books. Updates about the latest book arrivals can be found in the bookshop's internet website and in Cortell's Twitter.com postings.
