Shakespeare Boutique Hotel

Shakespeare Hotel is the only boutique style hotel in Vilnius and undeniably the most charming one. A narrow cobbled street of the Old City leads to a historic building dating back to the 17th century sited just a short way from Uzupis district. Its bar and a restaurant somewhat resembles an English gentlemen's club, while each room is named after some famous writer - Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, James Joyce, Leo Tolstoy and others. There is abundance of books, antiquities, flowers, carpets and art works, and the very walls seem exuding culture and history, yet nothing exaggerated, stiff or pretentious about it. The rooms are quite large and thought out to the slightest detail. Although Shakespeare Boutique Hotel was opened already in 1999, no competitors have measure up to it yet.
