Hotel Patou

A boutique Hotel Patou, having opened its doors in 2007, is named after Jean Patou (1880 - 1936), a French couturier and a creator of the famous perfume "Joy". Yet, the only thing in common between the two is a location - a stylish street of the leading fashion shops P.C. Hooftstraat, literally dotted with haute couture names, like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci and many more. Featuring just 12 rooms, the hotel embodies a legendary expression of Patou: „To be modern is to have the thought, the tastes and the instincts of the epoch in which one lives". Created by a Dutch architect Jen Alkema, its interiors combines contemporary design and art deco, a style that had inspired Patou so much. All rooms display authentic photos, featuring Patou's own designs. Rooms are quite small, yet their fine details instantly compensate for this seeming flaw. Tasteful minimalism is everywhere - bathroom floors, walls and a wash basin - all fitted out with marble and massive wooden elements in room décor. And what is no less important - a mattress is prefect, too!
An elegant art deco brasserie is a lovely breakfast and dinner spot and a much favored get-together place for local public. It offers international cuisine and excellent service.
